Dan Mullen and the Florida Gators have landed another South Florida recruit in the 2020 recruiting cycle. Four-star athlete Marc Britt announced that he has verbally committed to the University of Florida. The Gators are recruiting Britt as a safety; however, they might also consider playing him at wide receiver. With Britt’s commitment, the Florida Gators now have the tenth ranked recruiting class in the country passing, Oklahoma, Penn State, Auburn and FSU. Marc Britt is the 20th commit in the Florida Gators 2020 recruiting class. He is the eleventh defensive commit in the class with Fenley Graham, Derek Wingo, Tre’Vez Johnson, Rashad Torrence II, Johnnie Brown, Gervon Dexter, Jahari Rogers Avery Helm, Antwaun Powell and Lamar Goods. He is also the only athlete committed in the Florida Gators recruiting class.

Marc Britt is a four-star athlete out of Miami Christian School in Miami, Florida. The newest Florida commit has had a pretty interesting recruitment. He was originally committed to Miami before de-committing last summer. During his recruitment, Britt has received 16 offers from some of the top college football programs in the country. Britt has offers from schools like Alabama, Baylor, Florida, Miami, NC State, Nebraska and Penn State. Britt is also one of the top ranked recruits in the 2020 recruiting cycle. On ESPN, Britt is the 195th ranked recruit and the 29th ranked wide receiver in the country. On the 247 Sports Composite Rankings, Britt is the 277th ranked recruit and the eleventh ranked athlete in the country.
Scouting Report
Marc Britt is a 6’2” 190 pound athlete. After watching his tape, you can see that Britt is a playmaker. It doesn’t matter if he’s a wide receiver or safety, he’s going to make plays. He’s got good speed and can move sideline to sideline pretty well. At safety, Britt isn’t afraid to make contact. Britt also has good hands and can make some explosive plays with the ball in his hands. Britt is also a safety that can play close to the line of scrimmage if necessary. Marc Britt is a little bit of a project but he has the ability to play safety. This is a good pick up for Dan Mullen and the Florida Gators.
