Mike White and the Florida Gators have landed their top recruit on their recruiting board. Five-star small forward Scottie Lewis announced he has verbally commitment to the University of Florida on Twitter. Lewis is one of the top basketball recruits in the country and has been a wanted man for quite some time. This is the second commitment for Florida this week as center Omar Payne committed Monday night. Scottie Lewis is the fourth commit in the Florida Gators 2019 recruiting class with Tre Mann, Alex Klatsky and Omar Payne. With Lewis’ commitment, the Florida Gators now have the fourth ranked recruiting class in the country.
Who is Scottie Lewis?
Scottie Lewis is a five-star small forward out of The Ranney School in Tinton Falls, New Jersey. He is one of the highest ranked recruit in the country and has received a lot of national attention. During his recruitment, Lewis has received 24 offers from some of the top tier programs in the country. Lewis had offers from schools like Duke, Florida, Kansas, Kentucky, St. John’s and Villanova. On 247 Sports, Lewis is the eleventh ranked recruit and the third ranked small forward in the country. On ESPN, Lewis is the thirteen ranked recruit and the second ranked small forward in the country. Scottie Lewis picked the Florida Gators over the Kentucky Wildcats and Villanova.
Scottie Lewis is a 6’5” 185 pound small forward. The newest Florida commit is a special talent with a bright future. Lewis is one of the best athletes in his recruiting class.
