The Florida Gators are coming off a terrific week in which they landed two four-star recruits at the All-American games. They also had nine of their signees start classes this week as early enrollees. Florida will also host some recruits this weekend as National Signing Day is less than a month away. The Gators are expecting six official visitors on campus this weekend. Three defensive recruits and three offensive recruits will be on campus. Here are the six official visitors that will be at the University of Florida this weekend.
Arjei Henderson is a four-star wide receiver out of Fort Bend Travis High School in Richmond, Texas. Henderson is the only Florida commit that will be taking an official visit. The four-star wide out committed to Florida last Thursday at the Under Armour All-American Game. Henderson’s commitment to Florida was a surprise for many as most experts predicted him to commit to FSU. This is huge visitor for Florida as Henderson hasn’t completely shut down his recruitment. The Florida coaching staff will try to convince Henderson to not take any more visits and shut his recruitment down.
Ira Henry is a three-star offensive tackle out of Trinity Catholic High School in St. Louis, Missouri. Henry is an uncommitted recruit with over 25 offers from some of the top programs in the country. During his recruitment, Henry has received offers from schools like Alabama, Florida, FSU, Michigan, Missouri, Oklahoma, Tennessee and Wisconsin. The out of state recruit has pretty solid size at 6’5” and 320 pounds. Offensive line isn’t a big need for Florida as they’ve already signed seven offensive lineman this class. Ira is trending towards the Missouri Tigers as of right now.
Kaiir Elam is a four-star cornerback out of The Benjamin School in North Palm Beach, Florida. Elam is an uncommitted recruit and also played in the Under Armour All-American Game. He is a Florida legacy as his uncle, Matt Elam, played safety at Florida and was a first round for the Baltimore Ravens. During his recruitment, Elam has received over 40 scholarships. Elam has offers from school like Clemson, Florida, Georgia, LSU, Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Oregon and Texas. This is a huge visitors for Dan Mullen and the Florida Gators. Elam has been one of their top targets since Mullen arrived to the University of Florida. Florida is perceived to be the favorites to land Elam.
Mark-Antony Richards is a four-star athlete out of Wellington High School in West Palm Beach, Florida. Richards is an uncommitted recruit and is one of the top athletes in the country. During his recruitment, Richards has received 17 scholarships. He has offers from schools like Auburn, Florida, Georgia, Miami, LSU, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Penn State and Oregon. Richards is a University of Miami legacy as he’s related to former wide receiver Ahmmon Richards. Florida will try to get in the mix for the four-star in-state athlete. Richards is a special talent as he can play either wide receiver or running back in the collegiate level. The Wellington athlete would be used like Kadarius Toney if he signs with the Florida Gators.
Smith Vilbert is a three-star defensive end out of St. Joseph Regional High School in Montvale, New Jersey. Vilbert is an uncommitted recruit with 17 offers from some of the top programs in the country. During his recruitment, Vilbert has received offers from schools like Florida, Florida State, Miami, Nebraska, Oregon and Penn State. The New Jersey defensive end has great size at 6’6” 250 pounds. He has a lot of potential and is one of Florida’s top remaining defensive lineman targets.
Charles Moore is a four-star defensive end out of Louisville High School in Louisville, Mississippi. Moore is an uncommitted recruit and also played in the Under Armour All-American Game last week. The Mississippi native de-committed from Mississippi State Monday night. The former Mississippi State commit expressed some interest in the Florida Gators and announced that he’ll be taking an official visit to UF this weekend. Moore has a solid relationship with Florida head coach Dan Mullen as Moore committed to MSU when Mullen was the head coach. Moore was committed to Mississippi State for over a year. He already took an official visit to Auburn and are believed to be the favorites to land Moore. The Under Armour All-American is one of Florida’s top remaining targets.
